BBC Radio 1's Teen Awards are an annual awards show that is organized by British radio station BBC Radio 1. Since 2008 Radio 1 has held an annual event for teenagers aged 14 to 17 years. Originally named BBC Switch Live, the first event was held on 12 October 2008 at the Hammersmith Apollo. The event has been hosted by various Radio 1 DJs and guest co-hosts.
2014 BBC Radio 1's Teen Awards
The 2014 event took place on 19 October and was hosted by Nick Grimshaw and Rita Ora. 5 Seconds of Summer were going to perform at the event,[1] however due to Ashton being sick, they had to cancel their performance.
2015 BBC Radio 1's Teen Awards
The 2015 event took place on 8 November and was hosted by Nick Grimshaw and Demi Lovato at Wembley Arena. 5 Seconds of Summer closed the show and performed 4 songs; She Looks So Perfect, Hey Everybody!, Jet Black Heart (for the first time in the UK) and She's Kinda Hot. Michael fell off the stage during She Looks So Perfect.[2]

2018 BBC Radio 1's Teen Awards
The 2018 event will take place on 21 October at Wembley Arena. 5 Seconds of Summer are set to perform and are nominated for one award.
