Good Girls is a song by 5 Seconds of Summer from their self-titled debut album. It is the third track on the album. A studio version of "Good Girls" was leaked into Tumblr upon the announcement of the album. It was immediately available to download when the album was pre-ordered on iTunes in the United Kingdom. It was announced as the fourth single from the album on October 7, 2014.
Critical Reception[]
On July 22, 2014 in a track-by-track Billboard review, writer Jason Lipshutz stated: "Crashing guitars soundtrack the casually delivered verses of "Good Girls," as the 5SOS boys snicker about a girl who "studies hard in her room/At least that's what her parents assume." Song number three on the album boasts a third straight ace chorus, with the cheeky line "Good girls are bad girls that haven't been caught" serving as the fulcrum." [1]
Live Performances[]
5 Seconds of Summer performed "Good Girls" on the Australian version of The X Factor's live results show on October 6, 2014. They also performed the single "Good Girls" on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Music Video[]
Last October 7, 2014, the band started to tease the music video by direct messaging several fans on Twitter about the release date of the video. They then tweeted the first teaser to fans who did not get the direct message on their Twitter account. On October 8, 2014, they tweeted the second teaser of the music video. The video was released on 10 October 2014.
