"Lie to Me" is a song recorded by 5 Seconds of Summer. It was written by Ali Tamposi, Andrew Watt, Ashton Irwin, Luke Hemmings, and Calum Hood with production handled by Andrew Watt. The song was released via Capitol Records on 15 June 2018, as the third track on their third album, Youngblood.
A re-recording of the tracks featuring additional vocals by American singer-songwriter Julia Michaels was released on 21 December 2018 as the album's fourth single.

Brooke Bajgrowicz of Billboard said "The new version of Lie To Me has Michael's soft vocals changing up the narrative. While the original lyrics have the guys broken over a love not lining up, the words in the latest rendition readjust to explore both sides of the relationship." [3]
